CINCINNATI - The new Washington Park is not just depending on its new scenery and playground to get Tri-Staters stopping by; the Over-the-Rhine park has a full schedule of summer events as well.

Here's a list of their free, weekly programming:

  • Bandstand Bluegrass: Wednesdays, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Lasts until Sept. 5):

Tri-Staters are encouraged to gather around the bandstand, and enjoy free performances from the likes of Jake Speed & The Freddies, The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, and many more. The Tillers perform on July 18.

  • Jazz In The Park: Thursdays, 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Lasts until Sept. 6):

Tri-Staters can dance or simply sit and listen to the soulful Jazz. The P&G Big Band will perform on the main stage on July 19.

  • Friday Flow: Fridays, 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. (July 13 - Sept. 7):

R&B and Neo Soul performances will take place every Friday from both local and national artists. Neo-Soul artist, Dwele, will perform July 13. He has worked with the likes of Earth, Wind & Fire and Kanye West. Also, performing on July 13 is Under New Orders, Darris Sneed & The Pulse, as well as several deejays. Mahogany's will also be in the park, serving their soul food combinations.

  • City Flea: Saturday, July 14, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.:

The goal of the one-day event is to get together the creative minds and skilled hands of local artists, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts. Learn more at www.thecityflea.com .

  • Curiosity Saturday: Saturdays, 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. (Lasts until Sept. 1):

This event features a variety of free interactive programs designed to help children be more creative, while exposing them to nature. Organizations like the Cincinnati Museum, the Cincinnati Public Library, and the Cincinnati Park's "Explore Nature" Program will participate. On July 14, the event will be hosted by Happen Inc., and will include story time, books, and other activities with librarians from the downtown Main Public Library.

  • Date Night: Saturdays, 9 p.m. - 11 p.m. (July 14 - Sept. 1):

Tri-State couples can lay on their blankets to enjoy a free movie. A new movie will be featured every Saturday. Captain America will be shown on July 14.
