HAMILTON, Ohio - A suspected Michigan serial killer who was arrested in Butler County last month, will now be extradited back to Pontiac, Michigan.
Nolan Ray George, 67, and his attorney tried to fight the extradition orders from the governors of Michigan and Ohio, but Butler County Common Pleas Judge Patricia Oney turned them down and approved the extradition.
Judge Oney says Michigan presented the court with significant probable cause evidence along with pictures of George that made her certain she was extraditing the right suspect.
The Butler County Cold Case Unit of the Sheriff's Office has been working extensively with Michigan police for over a year to help solve a Michigan homicide that occurred in 1968.
George served 12 years in a Michigan prison for strangling another woman. He was convicted of manslaughter in the death of a third woman in 1982.
Detectives suspect George may have connections with as many as seven other murder cases in Michigan and Ohio.
George was arrested in mid-July at the Paradise Inn on Hamilton-Middletown Road.
