CINCINNATI - Former Cincinnati union leader Diana Frey arrived at her new home Tuesday where she will be serving her 51-month prison sentence for embezzling more than $750,000.

Frey — the former President of CODE, Cincinnati Organized and Dedicated Employee — will be in federal prison in FPC Alderson, a minimum security facility in West Virginia. The prison houses only female offenders and is located in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains in Monroe, W.Va.

Frey ran CODE from 2005 through 2011, representing more than 800 Cincinnati employees in contract negotiations.

Dues were deducted from their paychecks to fund union activities. When a union official began questioning the organizations finances, a federal investigation began, resulting in Frey being found guilty of one count of wire fraud.

Frey’s release date from FPC Alderson is set for March 20, 2016.

FPC Alderson was briefly home to Martha Stewart when she served her five-month sentence for lying about stock sales.
