SHARONVILLE, Ohio - Police have identified the driver of a dump truck who was killed after he lost control of his vehicle on westbound I-275 Wednesday afternoon.

The wreck happened around 3 p.m. near the Reed Hartman Highway exit at the 47.8 mile marker.

Officials say Steven Griffin, 35, of Amelia, was driving a 1979 International dump truck when he lost control of the vehicle, and struck a concrete median wall and lamp post.

When police and medics responded to the scene, they pronounced Griffin dead.

All lanes in both directions of I-275 were closed and traffic was backed up several miles while crews worked to clear the crash.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sharonville Police Department and the Ohio State Patrol.
