LOCKLAND, Ohio - A Lockland police officer and a woman were injured in a crash when they collided with each other at an intersection Friday morning.

The accident happened after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Forre Avenue.

Police say the woman ran a red light and collided with the police cruiser.

Both the female driver and the officer were taken to the hospital. Their conditions and identities have not been released.

The officer, a 16-year veteran of the force, had only been back at work for a month after having back surgery a few months ago.
