FRANKLIN TWP, Ohio - More than 10 people are being treated for injuries they sustained in a school bus crash in Warren County Wednesday morning.

Officials say nine students and two adults are at Atrium Hospital after they were injured when a school bus crashed into two pick-up trucks in the 6100 block of Manchester Road in Franklin Township around 8 a.m. Officials have not released information about the extent of their injuries.

Among the injured was the female driver of the school bus who told authorities she was shaken up and had leg pain.

According to police a pickup truck lost control on the icy bridge that spans I-75, sideswiped a truck going in the opposite direction and then slammed head-on into the school bus.

Police say the driver of the truck was driving too fast for the road conditions.

Police say 35 Middletown Christian School students were on board the bus at the time of the crash.

The bus was from Middletown School District, but the district also uses its buses to transport charter and Christian school students, according to a Middletown School District spokesperson.

The superintendent at Middletown Christian Schools says he personally visited the crash scene to check on the students.  Mark Spradling tells 9 News the students' injuries are not life threatening.

9 News also spoke with one student as he left the Emergency Room who said he had some neck pain.

Five emergency squads from around the area responded to help at the scene, according to Franklin Township dispatchers.

Police have not yet released any additional details about the accident.
