Junior striker Tyler Smith scored three goals as Simon Kenton beat Anderson County, 5-2 in an 8th Region quarterfinal at Simon Kenton on Monday.
Smith scored twice in the first half and capped off his hat trick in the second half. He also recorded an assist.
Senior midfielder Mitchell O’Hara added two goals and two assists for the Pioneers, who won their eighth straight match.
Simon Kenton will face Oldham County at 8 p.m. on Tuesday at South Oldham in a regional semifinal.
