Sophomore midfielder Lauren Nemeroff scored all four of Dixie Heights’ goals, including the late game winner as the Colonels edged Conner, 4-3 on Wednesday.

Nemeroff fired a shot into the top right corner to break the tie in the final minute to win the match.

Conner battled back to tie it with three goals over an 11-minute span after Nemeroff had given the Dixie Heights a three-goal lead.

HALFTIME: Dixie Heights, 2-0. GOALS: DH—Nemeroff 4. C—Noel, Johnstone, Storms. RECORDS: Dixie Heights 12-5-1, Conner 7-8-1.

COOPER 2, SCOTT 2 – Both teams scored in the final minute of the second half.

Eagles senior midfielder Vivian Sowder tied the match at two when she was sprung loose for a breakaway off a pass from junior midfielder Monica Ortwein in the final 30 seconds.

The Jaguars had taken the lead 20 seconds earlier on a goal from senior midfielder Andrea Thompson.

Ortwein scored the first goal of the match on a first-half penalty kick for the Eagles.

HALFTIME: Scott, 1-0. GOALS: S—Ortwein, Sowder. C—Thompson, Conner. RECORDS: Scott 8-7-3, Cooper 6-6-2.

RYLE 1, CAMPBELL COUNTY 0 – Senior outside left defender Jaclyn Zembrodt scored the lone goal of the match midway into the second half.

Zembrodt took the shot after the Camels were called for a foul in the box.

Sophomore Emily Hayes turned four shots aside to record the shutout, which is the third straight for the Raiders.

HALFTIME: 0-0. GOAL: R—Zembrodt. SHUTOUT: Hayes (4 saves). RECORDS: Ryle 10-5-2, Campbell County 10-7-2.

BROSSART 4, SIMON KENTON 1 – Junior forward Morgan Verst scored a pair of first-half goals 15 minutes apart in the Mustangs’ win.

Verst found the net 24 minutes into the first half and netted another goal a minute before the break.

Senior forward Allison Greely added a goal and an assist as Brossart extended its unbeaten streak to nine matches (8-0-1).

HALFTIME: 3-0. GOALS: B—Verst 2, Greely, Linebach. SK—N/A. RECORDS: Brossart 13-4-1, Simon Kenton 5-10-1.

VILLA MADONNA 8, DAYTON 0 – Senior Megan Barton scored three goals and added an assist to pace the Blue Lightning.

Sophomore Paulette Moser added a goal and two assists and senior Lauren Dumaine notched a goal and dished for an assist in the Villa Madonna win, which was its fifth of its last six.

GOALS: VM—Barton 3, Califf, Dumaine, Meier, Moser, Werner. SHUTOUT: Hengge. RECORDS: Villa Madonna 10-8-1, Dayton 0-12.

BOONE COUNTY 2, GRANT COUNTY 0 – Sophomore midfielder Megan Harrison and junior midfielder Christen Prather scored in the Rebels’ win.

Senior Lyndsey Henges recorded her third shutout, and senior defender Valerie Rice picked up an assist as Boone County snapped a two-match losing streak.
