St. Henry trailed by one at halftime, but senior guard Kelly Coburn scored all 17 of her points in the second half as the Crusaders edged Villa Madonna, 51-46 in a Region 9 All ‘A’ semifinal at Newport Central Catholic on Friday.
Coburn hit four 3-pointers in the third quarter, scoring all of St. Henry’s points in that period to give the Crusaders a four-point lead.
Junior forward Trisha Marks added 14 points and eight rebounds for St. Henry, which has won four of its last five games.
Senior forward Lauren Dumaine tallied 20 points, and senior guard Allie Hennard chipped in 14 for the Blue Lightning.
St. Henry will face Newport Central Catholic in the regional championship game at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 60, LLOYD 40 – Senior forward Nicole Kiernan scored 10 points in the first quarter as the Thoroughbreds ran out to a 13-point lead in a Region 9 All ‘A’ semifinal at NewCath.
Kiernan ended up with a game-best 15 points, and sophomores forward Alexus Mayes and guard Michaela Ware added eight points each for NewCath, which will play St. Henry in the regional final at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Senior forward Danielle Cheatum racked up a team-best 13 points for the Juggernauts.

NOTRE DAME 64, BOONE COUNTY 49 – The Pandas trailed by three at halftime, but Notre Dame scored 42 second-half points, with 14 coming by senior forward Olivia Voskuhl.
Voskuhl scored six points in the third quarter and eight more in the final period. She finished with a game-high 23 points.
Junior guard Paige Kellam helped the Pandas pull away with seven points in the fourth frame.
Sophomore forward Haylee Smith racked up 15 points, and Kellam tallied 11, which was 16-for-21 from the free throw line in the second half.
Junior forward Dallis Knotts led the Rebels with 18 points.

HIGHLANDS 76, RYLE 56 – Freshman guard Brianna Adler recorded a season-high 15 points, and the Bluebirds also finished with their highest point total of the campaign.
Senior forward Leah Schaefer poured in a team-best 17 points for Highlands, including 11 in a second quarter that saw the Bluebirds outscore Ryle by 21.
Senior guard Katie Connor paced the Raiders with 21 points, all on 3-pointers.

DIXIE HEIGHTS 61, SCOTT 47 – Sophomore center Liza Tibbs and junior forward Molly Diamon rolled up 20 points each to key the Colonels’ win.
Tibbs grabbed 10 rebounds, and Diamon pulled down nine boards.
Seventh-grade guard Allyson Niece helped the Eagles take a three-point halftime lead by scoring 12 points in the first two quarters. She ended up with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
