Senior guard Shelby Rudd hit a 3-pointer in the final minute to force overtime and scored four points in the extra session as Lloyd beat Newport, 44-38 on Wednesday.
Rudd drained her trey with 20 seconds left in regulation, and she hit a field goal and knocked down a pair of free throws in OT to help put the game away. She finished with a game-high 15 points.
Junior forward Victoria Stagge added 10 points for the Juggernauts.
Newport was led by freshman guard Kylie Orr, who scored nine points.

WALTON-VERONA 65, CAMPBELL COUNTY 57 – Junior guard Shelby Mullikin and senior center Michele Judy scored six points each in the first quarter as the Bearcats took a 21-point lead.
Senior forward Courtney Sandlin netted 15 points in the second half – seven in the third quarter and eight in the final frame – finishing with a game-best 23 points. Judy added 13 and Mullikin chipped in 10.
Senior center Kaitlin Siegmundt led Campbell County with 11 points, and senior guard Taylor Robinson rolled up 10 for the Camels.

Mohawks sophomore guard Emily Vogelpohl led all scorers with 19 points, and sophomore guard Sydney Lambert racked up 16.
