   Campbell County erased a three-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Greenwood, 55-47 in the first round of the Capital City Classic in Frankfort Western Hills on Thursday.

   Camels freshman center Matt Wilson led all scorers with 22 points, and he grabbed 10 rebounds.

   Junior guard Corey Williams added 16 points for Campbell County, which will play its second of three tournament games on Friday.

   BOONE COUNTY 62, SOUTH FLOYD 43 – Sophomore center Junior Stockwell finished with 17 points to pace the Rebels, who forced 29 turnovers, in the Raceland Derby Classic.

   Rebels junior center Brannen McDonald recorded a double-double, rolling up 11 points and 11 rebounds, and Boone County junior Barry Ordu also tallied 11 points.

   The Rebels will play its next tournament game at 8:15 p.m. on Friday.

   PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 88, CALVARY CHRISTIAN 57 – Senior guard Nick Whitt and sophomore guard Riley Worstell paced the Cougars with 17 points each in their losing effort.

   Worstell scored 11 of his points in the first quarter, and he racked up four assists.

   Calvary Christian will play its next tournament game at 2 p.m. on Friday.
