12/20 GBK: Calvary wins; Dayton, SK fall

   Junior guard Sarah Roaden hit both of her 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help lift Calvary Christian to a 39-35 win over Fairdale at the Bullitt Central Christmas Tournament on Thursday.

   Roaden finished with seven points in the final period, and she racked up a team-high 15 points.

   Senior guard McKenzie Rusch added 12 points for the Cougars, who will play Oldham County in their final tournament game at 5 p.m. on Friday.

   Her twin sister, junior forward Heather Schowalter, added 10 points for Dayton.

   BOWLING GREEN 59, SIMON KENTON 54 – Junior guard Christina Cook led the Pioneers with 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists and five steals at the Lexington Catholic Classic.

   Junior guard Abby Owings added 16 points, five assists and four steals for Simon Kenton, which lost its first game of the season.

   Senior guard Diamond Marshall scored 32 points for the Purples in a game that featured 12 lead changes.
