Simon Kenton erupted in the second quarter, coming from behind to take the title at the Bardstown Boys and Girls Christmas Classic, 67-22, over Shelby County.
Junior guard Christina Cook led the way with 12 points, while senior forward Paige Bosse chipped in with nine points, 13 rebounds and five steals.
Junior forward Sarah Tomlin earned tournament MVP honors, scoring eight points to go with five rebounds in the final, recognized for her defense throughout the tourney.
The Lady Pioneers got a win earlier in the day without taking the court after Louisville Valley forfeited their early matchup.
Simon Kenton had defeated Shelby County, 63-28, in Friday night's nightcap to advance to Saturday's title rounds.

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 73, SOUTHWESTERN 63 — Nicole Kiernan joined the 1,000-point club as Newport Catholic held off Southwestern in their finale at Conner's Cougar Classic.
The junior, needing only four points to top 1,000 points in her career, blew up for a game-high 28 to lead NewCath to the win, adding 14 rebounds and eight blocks to her special night.
Michaela Ware added 14 points to NewCath's effort, while Alexus Mayes chipped in with 12 points. Adison Corder led the Warriors with 23 points in the loss.
