Eighth-grade guard Cole VonHandorf scored seven of his team-high 16 points in the fourth quarter as Villa Madonna beat Covington Latin, 60-38 on Monday.
VonHandorf scored 11 points in the second half, including seven in the fourth quarter to help the Blue Lightning blow the game open for their first win of the season.
Junior center Troy Phelps added 11 points and 18 rebounds for Villa Madonna.
Senior Mitchell Blewett led the Trojans with 16 points.
