   Seniors guard Drew Mays and forward Mark Fussenegger scored 14 points each, but Ryle fell to Cincinnati Colerain, 57-53 on Wednesday.

   Junior center Will Stuhr chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds for the Raiders, who lost their first game of the season.

   BEECHWOOD 75, COVINGTON LATIN 56 – Tigers sophomore guard Jacob Huff led all scorers with 20 points, including nine in the fourth quarter on three 3-pointers.

   Senior forward Brandon Marksberry added 17 points, and senior forward Chase Maus poured in 16 for Beechwood in its season opener.

   Maus and Huff tallied five points each in the third quarter to help the Tigers blow the game open.

   Senior Dorien Clark rolled up 18 points and senior Mitchell Blewett finished with 17 to pace the Trojans.

   BROSSART 62, BRACKEN COUNTY 29 – Senior guard Ben Uebel hit three of his 3-pointers in the first quarter for the Mustangs, who led 14-0 at the end of the period.

   Uebel finished with a team-high 15 points, all scored from behind the arc.

   Juniors forward Alex Trentman, center Drew Burns and forward Erik Rieger all chipped in 11 points for Brossart, which won its fourth straight game.
