   Junior guard Austin Crowell stole the ball and laid it in with two seconds left in overtime to lift Carroll County to a 53-51 win over Owen County on Thursday.

   Rebels freshman forward Carson Williams had drained two free throws with 10 seconds left in regulation to force the extra session.

   Ssenior guard Brandon Stewart led the Panthers with 16 points, and Williams paced Owen County with a game-high 25 points.

   Both teams were unbeaten entering the game. Carroll County won its fourth straight game and the Rebels had their win streak snapped at four.

   PENDLETON COUNTY 102, AUGUSTA 89 – Senior guard Mason Monroe rolled up a career-best 35 points, hitting 16 of 23 shots from the field.

   Monroe also dished for four assists and posted five steals for the Wildcats, who last reached the 100-point mark on Dec. 9, 2011 in a four overtime win over Covington Catholic.

   Wildcats senior center Ethan Moore added 18 points and seven rebounds.

   Augusta junior guard Brent Bach racked up a game-high 45 points in the losing effort.

   BROSSART 80, MAYSVILLE ST. PATRICK 49 – Senior guard Justin Saunders paced the Mustangs with 21 points.

   Junior forward Alex Trentman posted a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 12 rebounds for Brossart, which remained unbeaten through five games.

   HOLMES 81, WALTON-VERONA 32 – Bulldogs sophomore guard James Bolden led all scorers with 15 points.

   Bolden scored seven points in the second quarter for Holmes, which won its fifth straight game to open the season.

   Junior guard Quinton Chames added 11 points, and senior guard B.J. Coston chipped in 10 in the Bulldogs’ win.

   Sophomore guard Grant Moeves led the Bearcats with 12 points.

   Junior forward Mitchell Cody led Ludlow in scoring with 18 points, and he grabbed eight rebounds and dished for four assists.
