A 14-1 run midway through the third quarter helped Newport Central Catholic's boys beat Knott County Central, 49-44, and make a date for Sunday's All A Classic title game.
The Thoroughbreds (20-2) held on for Saturday's semifinal win aided by a 21-point night by Michael Bueter and a 12-point, eight-rebound performance by Jake Schulte.
