Newport Central Catholic is still perfect after cruising past Montgomery County, 58-45 on Saturday.

NewCath trailed by two points at the half, but came out of the break hitting on all cylinders. They outscored the Indians 32-17 the rest of the way.

Ansley Davenport scored 20 points to lead NewCath, including four three-pointers in the third quarter to spark the 'Breds run. Nicole Kiernan added 10 points to the effort, while Alexus Mayes scored eight with 11 rebounds.

The Indians were led by Schyler Tipton's 11 points.

NEWPORT 52, CINCINNATI OYLER 37 — Newport freshman Shaunye Stanley continued her strong season, scoring 11 points and grabbing 16 rebounds to pace the Wildcats.

Stanley also had four steals and shot 5-of-9 from the field and Katlyn Hoeh added nine points as Newport took an early lead and never looked back.

The Mad Hatters were led by senior Te'Ana West's game-high 12 points.

CONNER 67, CAMPBELL COUNTY 38 — Emily Pluto scored a game-high 17, while Hunter Hendricks and Jordan Scott added 15 apiece as Conner moved to 6-0 on the season.

Scott, a senior forward, also grabbed seven rebounds to help the Cougars remain perfect.

For the Camels, seniors Erin Bishop (11 points) and Kaitlin Siegmumndt (10) finished in double figures.

Sophomore Savannah Neace scored a game-high 15 points, while junior Trisha Marks added 14 points and 12 rebounds to pace St. Henry. Kelly Coburn added 13 points to the win, as St. Henry connected on 25 of 32 free throws.

Alexis Switzer added eight points to the effort.

Ursuline was led by junior forward Christy Miller's 14 points.

VILLA MADONNA 34, COOPER 27 —In a low-scoring affair, Cooper tied the game at 17 in the fourth quarter, but the Villa Madonna defense held up and the Blue Lightning pulled away down the stretch.

Villa Madonna scored its final 10 points from the free throw line.

The Lightning were led by eight points by each Alex Hengge, Lexie Aytes and Lauren Dumaine, while Morgan Case added seven points to the effort. Cooper was led by Katey Pittman's game-high 11 points.

The Greendevils were led by Nicole Schowalter's eight points. Heather Schowalter and Sadie Boles both finished with seven for Dayton.
