   Freshman guard Olivia Stokes hit a pair of free throws with 20 seconds remaining to ice Beechwood’s 62-57 win over Pendleton County on Thursday.

   Tigers freshman Macy Stuempel led all scorers with 22 points, and she dished for six assists. Eighth-grade guard Ally Johnson added 18 points for Beechwood – 13 in the second half.

   GALLATIN COUNTY 54, OWEN COUNTY 50 – Junior point guard Brooke Dossett scored five of her game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter to seal the game for the Wildcats.

   Dossett, rolled up all of her other 14 points in the first half, also grabbed seven rebounds and dished for three assists as Gallatin County won its fifth straight game.

   Dossett, as well as her sister – sophomore guard Hannah Dossett – were able to help the Wildcats pull away by hitting late free throws.

   A half-court shot at the buzzer cut the final deficit to four.

   ST. HENRY 59, NEWPORT 41 – Junior forward Trisha Marks posted a career-high 17 points as the Crusaders won for the third time in four games.

   Marks also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished for three assists.

   St. Henry led by 10 at halftime, and Crusaders senior guard Kelly Coburn hit a pair of threes early in the third quarter to put the game out of reach. Coburn finished with 14 points.

   Sophomore Savannah Neace added eight points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in the St. Henry win.

   SIMON KENTON 61, HOLMES 37 – Senior forward Paige Bosse led 11 Pioneers scorers with 13 points, and she grabbed seven rebounds.

   Junior guard Christina Cook chipped in 11 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals for Simon Kenton, which extended its winning streak to six games.

   Senior guard Tamra Holder finished with a team-best 10 points for the Bulldogs.

   LUDLOW 57, SILVER GROVE 16 – Panthers sophomore guard Tori Wofford rolled up a game-high 11 points, including six in the decisive first quarter.

   Wofford also dished for six assists and stole the ball five times.

   Senior center Emily Kroger added nine points and five rebounds, and freshman guard Mariah Green-Murphy chipped in nine points for Ludlow. Green-Murphy scored seven in the opening period, and six of Kroger’s points came in the first stanza.
