Scott edged Cooper on Friday night at home, rallying from a seven-point halftime deficit to move to 15-8 on the season.
The Eagles were led by Allyson Niece’s 22-point performance, while junior guard Jill Buntin added 17 to the win. Tori Dant chipped in with a near-double-double, going for nine points and 11 rebounds.
Paige Ross scored 19 and Andrea Thompson 18 for the Lady Jags, who led by seven at the break. Scott tied the game midway through the third quarter, then outlasted Cooper down the stretch.
Cooper has lost four of its last five games.

CALVARY CHRISTIAN 59, HERITAGE ACADEMY 17 – Calvary Christian wasted little time claiming their opening win the their Cougar Classic tournament, jumping out to a 26-point halftime lead.
The Cougars were led by the trio of Sarah Roaden – who finished with a game-high 14 points – and McKenzie Rusch and Zania Caudill, who had 12 points apiece.
Junior guard Taylor Schwarz accounted for 12 of Heritage’s 17 points. Calvary Christian, which defeated Heritage, 59-19 last week, will face Newport at 3 p.m. Saturday in the tournament final, weather permitting.

VILLA MADONNA 44, LUDLOW 34 – The Blue Lightning continued to surge toward the tournament, winning their seventh of the last eight games by rolling past Ludlow.
Lauren Dumaine led Villa with 12 points, while Alex Hengge added 10 in the win.
Ludlow’s effort was led by Tori Wofford’s 13-point, eight-rebound night.

For the Devils, Sadies Boles and Aubry Donelan finished with 10 points apiece.

SIMON KENTON 51, NEWCATH 50 – Down eight at the half, the Lady Pioneers stormed back in the third quarter to take their own eight point lead behind Paige Bosse’s 20 points and another 13 from Owings.
Then they held off a fouth-quarter rally by NewCath, blocking a shot in the waning moments to preserve the win.
The Thoroughbreds got 15 points apiece from Alexus Mayes and Nicole Kiernan.
