   Lloyd scored all of its overtime points from the foul line as the Juggernauts took down Villa Madonna, 62-60 in a District 34 quarterfinal at Ludlow on Monday.

   Senior guards Niko Carter and Jarice Ewell went 3-for-4 on free throws and senior forward Deandre Thompson was perfect on two attempts in the extra session. Carter led all scorers with 28 points.

   Eighth-grade guard Cole VonHandorf paced the Blue Lightning with 23 points, and sophomore guard Eric Baugh scored eight fourth-quarter points to force overtime.

   Lloyd will play Dixie Heights in a quarterfinal at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

   CONNER 85, HERITAGE 47 – Junior Samuel Hemmerich led 11 Cougars scorers with 11 points in a District 33 quarterfinal at Boone County.

   Junior Landon Lamblez and sophomore Nick Watts added 15 points each for Conner, which will play Cooper in a semifinal at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.

   Lamblez scored 12 points in the third quarter to blow the game open.

   BEECHWOOD 83, COVINGTON LATIN 52 – Senior forward Chase Maus scored nine of his game-high 26 points in the second quarter to put the 35th District quarterfinal at Ludlow away.

   Senior guard Max Nussbaum and freshman guard Kyle Fieger added 10 points each for Beechwood, which will face Holmes at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

   Junior Tyler Ackerson chipped in 17 points for Bellevue, which will face Newport at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
