Pioneers ride 25-point first quarter to win

   Senior forward Paige Bosse scored eight points during Simon Kenton’s 25-point first quarter as the Pioneers rolled to a 58-41 win over Cooper on Thursday.

   Bosse finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and senior guard Abby Owings and junior forward Rachel Cox added 10 points each.

   Owings hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first quarter, and Cox pulled down eight boards.

   Senior guard Andrea Thompson scored a team-high 12 points for the Jaguars.

   NOTRE DAME 61, SCOTT 30 – Senior forward Olivia Voskuhl scored 14 of her game-high 17 points as the Pandas took a 30-point lead into the break.

   Junior guard Elly Ogle added nine points as Notre Dame won its seventh straight game.

   DAYTON 46, CALVARY CHRISTIAN 42 – Junior guard Nicole Schowalter scored six of her team-high 11 points in the fourth quarter for the Greendevils.

   Junior guard Hannah Deaton chipped in nine points for Dayton, which snapped a five-game losing streak.

   Senior forward Zania Caudill finished with 14 points for the Cougars.

   VILLA MADONNA 48, BELLEVUE 36 – Senior forward Lauren Dumaine scored 12 points, including three 3-pointers, and grabbed seven rebounds for the Blue Lightning.

   Freshman guard Jenna McGuire poured in seven of her nine points in the fourth quarter to help put the game away.

   With the win, Villa Madonna clinched the NKAC Division III championship for the fourth season in a row.

   Freshman guard Makayla Bishop tallied 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists, and freshman guard Kira Ross added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers.

   HOLMES 63, LUDLOW 15 – Senior forward Tamra Holder rolled up 16 points, five steals and four assists to pace the Bulldogs.

   Senior forward Amanda Johnson grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds for Holmes, which outrebounded the Panthers, 38-14.

   Sophomore guard Tori Wofford led Ludlow with eight points.
