Sophomore Mandy Arnzen and junior defender Carlee Clemons both found the net as Notre Dame defeated Louisville Christian, 2-0 on Thursday.

Arnzen scored 12 minutes into the match off a crossing pass from senior striker Ellie Eckerle to give the Pandas the early lead.

Clemons extended Notre Dame’s lead to two later in the half off a feed from senior defender Alex Lonnemann.

Senior Nikki Zembrodt turned aside two shots to record her second shutout of the season for the Pandas, who have not allowed a goal through their first two games.

HALFTIME: 2-0. GOALS: ND—Arnzen, Clemons. SHUTOUT: N. Zembrodt (2 saves). RECORDS: Notre Dame 2-0, Louisville Christian 1-1-1.
