Senior Tyrus Sciarra scored Ryle’s first goal and dished for the assist on its other tally in a 2-1 win over Cincinnati McNicholas on Tuesday.

Sciarra scored nine minutes into the second half to open the scoring, and he set up senior midfielder Mitchell See’s goal 2½ minutes later.

The Raiders, who lost their first two matches of the season, are unbeaten in their last seven since.

HALFTIME: 0-0. GOALS: R—Sciarra, See. M—Garrison. RECORDS: Ryle 6-2-1, McNicholas 1-4.

ST. HENRY 3, DIXIE HEIGHTS 0 – Senior forward Austin Eibel recorded his first career hat trick for the Crusaders.

Eibel scored twice in the first half and added another goal after halftime as St. Henry won its sixth straight match.

Senior Kevin Cawley stopped five shots to earn his fourth shutout of the season.

HALFTIME: 2-0. GOALS: SH—Eibel 3. SHUTOUT: Cawley (5 saves). RECORDS: St. Henry 6-2-1, Dixie Heights 2-5-1.

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 0, MONTGOMERY COUNTY 0 – Thoroughbreds senior Nathan Grosser made 13 saves to pick up his second shutout of the season.

HALFTIME: 0-0. SHUTOUTS: NCC—Grosser (13 saves). MC—Duzyk (9 saves). RECORDS: NewCath 1-4-1, Montgomery County 3-3-2.

SIMON KENTON 8, HOLMES 0 – Senior midfielder Mitchell O’Hara scored two goals and added an assist in the Pioneers’ win.

Senior striker Kurt Hoelmer added two goals for Simon Kenton, which won its third straight match.

Pioneers juniors forward Tyler Smith and midfielder Corey Knaley chipped in a goal and an assist each.

HALFTIME: 4-0. GOALS: SK—O’Hara 2, Hoelmer 2, Hamlin, Smith, Montgomery, Knaley. SHUTOUT: Leanhart (2 saves). RECORDS: Simon Kenton 5-3-1, Holmes 0-7.

CONNER 5, COOPER 1 – Junior forward Alberto Aguirre scored two goals and assisted on two more for the Cougars.

With the score tied at one at halftime, Aguirre netted the first two goals of the second half and he picked up helpers on Conner’s final two goals.

Junior forward Landon Lamblez added a goal and an assist each for the Cougars, who remained unbeaten through six matches.

HALFTIME: 1-1. GOALS: CON—Aguirre 2, Lamblez, Stephenson, Childress. COO—Middendorf. RECORDS: Conner 6-0, Cooper 6-4.

CINCINNATI ELDER 3, COVINGTON CATHOLIC 1 – Senior midfielder Nick Wessels scored the Colonels’ lone goal.

Wessels tied the score at one midway through the first period off a feed from senior midfielder Wheeler Blersch.

HALFTIME: 2-1. GOALS: E—Lamping, Ryan, Enginger. CC—Wessels. RECORDS: Elder 4-0-1, CovCath 6-3.

BOONE COUNTY 8, GRANT COUNTY 1 – Junior midfielder Evan O’Hara recorded his first hat trick of the season in the Rebels’ win.

Boone County sophomore forward Haven Borkowski added two goals, and senior forward Weston Blystone chipped in with a goal and an assist.

HALFTIME: 5-0. GOALS: BC—O’Hara 3, Borkowski 2, Melzer, Blystone, Perez. GC—Schmitt. RECORDS: Boone County 5-2, Grant County 2-4.

BROSSART AT PENDLETON COUNTY, POSTPONED – Heavy rains over the weekend rendered the Wildcats’ field unplayable.

A make-up date for the match has not been determined.
