Senior outside hitter Kendall Schmits eclipsed two milestones as Bellevue (11-6) defeated Newport (3-10), 25-19, 25-22, 25-20 on Tuesday.
Schmits finished with 13 digs and eight kills. She needed seven digs to reach 350 for her career, and she entered the match one kill shy of 250.
Tigers senior outside hitter Makenzie Phelps racked up 10 kills, 13 assists and four aces, and sophomore outside hitter Abby Buckler chipped in seven kills.
Senior outside hitter Madelyne Williams led the Wildcats with seven kills.
RYLE BEATS BOONE – Sophomore outside hitter Ashley Bush rolled up 12 kills and seven assists as Ryle (10-3) defeated Boone County (7-5), 25-8, 25-19, 25-14.
Junior setter Harper Hempel dished for 16 assists in the Raiders’ win.
NOTRE DAME STILL UNBEATEN – Junior setter Elly Ogle recorded 46 assists as Notre Dame (10-0) defeated Cincinnati St. Ursula (3-3), 25-20, 25-19, 23-25, 27-25.
Junior libero Meredith Klare chipped in with 26 digs as the Pandas won their 10th straight match to open the season.
