Senior middle hitter Kelsey Zalac recorded nine kills as Brossart (10-1) defeated Ludlow (9-4), 25-18, 27-29, 25-11 on Wednesday.

Freshman setter Lindsay Leick added 27 assists for the Mustangs.

Junior McKenzie Huffman served for five aces to lead the Panthers.

VILLA DOWNS LATIN – Junior middle hitter Ellie Stoddart rolled up seven kills and six blocks as Villa Madonna (6-4) defeated Covington Latin (2-8), 25-10, 25-14.

Senior setter Kelsey McQueen and sophomore setter Sara Penney dished for seven assists each in the Blue Lightning’s third straight win.

DIXIE SINKS BELLEVUE – Senior outside hitter Carly Ward tallied six kills as Dixie Heights (2-14) defeated Bellevue (11-7), 25-21, 25-12.

Sophomore middle hitter Bailey Staderman added five kills for the Colonels, who won their second straight match.

CAMPBELL BEATS HARRISON – Sophomore outside hitter Kirby Seiter racked up nine kills as Campbell County (7-7) defeated Harrison County (5-9), 25-10, 25-13, 25-18.

Sophomore setter Carson Gray added seven aces for the Camels, who extended their winning streak to three matches.
