CINCINNATI - Six-time Pro Bowl receiver Chad Johnson may be coming to terms with the fact that he’s not playing for an NFL team — all with the help of a video game.

Johnson took to Twitter early Wednesday morning when he couldn’t find himself as a player in Madden 13, the football video game that was released Tuesday.

“That awkward moment when you realize you're not on Madden13 and have to create yourself...,” Johnson tweeted to his more than 3.7 millions followers Wednesday.

It’s been a rough road for Johnson lately. The Miami Dolphins released the player formerly known as Ochocinco earlier this month after he was arrested in a domestic battery case involving his wife, Evelyn Lozada. A few days later, she ended their 41-day marriage when she filed for divorce Aug. 14. Also, Johnson's VH1 reality show was pulled after the arrest.

The former Bengals star is now hurting in the virtual world, too.

While not a main player, Johnson is part of the game. He is in the free agent pool among fellow free-agent receivers Roy Williams, T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Mike Sims-Walker, according to a New York Daily News article.

Madden NFL 13 can be purchased through the game’s website for $59.99.
