Cincy a changed city since Reds' last playoff run

CINCINNATI - Less than two years ago, little more than a giant parking lot occupied the half mile space between the stadiums of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals on the Ohio River.
With the Reds returning to the National League playoffs, baseball fans from Ohio and beyond will find a much different Cincinnati than the last time the team played in the postseason in 2010.
After more than $600 million in new development between the two stadiums, there are now six distinct bars and restaurants, a popular riverfront park, and high-end apartments.
That's on top of a new $322 million, 41-story office tower now dominating the skyline, and major development in the nearby Over-the-Rhine historic district.
The Reds play their first home game in the NL Division Series on Tuesday, Oct. 9. First pitch is set for 5:37 p.m.
