Bengals place former UC product on injured list

CINCINNATI - Bengals cornerback John Bowie, who had been on the team's practice squad since last month, will miss the rest of the season due to injury.
The former Cincinnati Bearcat suffered a right Achilles tear in practice on Thursday. The fourth-year Ohio native signed with the Bengals on Nov. 16.
He has five games of NFL experience with the Oakland Raiders between 2007 and 2009.
