CINCINNATI - Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton has returned to practice after missing a day because of the flu.

The rookie said his illness came on suddenly and he went to a hospital for treatment to recover quickly.

"I feel great. It was a tough day yesterday, but I feel a lot better than I did and I'll be out there practicing and ready to go,"said Dalton. "Can't try to do too much, just go out there. I've watched the film. I know what's going on. So, obviously, I would've liked to have practiced yesterday but it didn't happen."

He was eating again on Thursday and watched film of what he'd missed in practice the previous day, trying to catch up.

The weather was much nicer for practice -- 40 degrees when the Bengals took the field at Paul Brown Stadium, a vast improvement over earlier in the week when Dalton got sick. The Bengals don't have a covered practice field and chose not to use the one at the University of Cincinnati.

Dalton will return to his hometown when the Bengals play the Texans in Houston on Saturday, trying to win a playoff game for the first time since the 1990 season. The Katy, Texas native has never lost a game at Reliant Stadium. He won two games there in high school and another while at TCU.

Fans hoping to see the Bengals in person need to act fast. There are several ways to buy tickets. People can buy tickets directly from the Bengals. They cost $60 and must be purchased with cash at Paul Brown Stadium. For more information call (513)621-8383.
