CINCINNATI - The last time the Bengals won a playoff game, they beat Houston -- the Oilers, not the Texans.
That was 21 years ago, a span so long that it's become part of the local lore. The Bengals (9-7) have had only two playoff games since then, and lost both of them. They get their third chance at breaking the slump when they play the Texans on Saturday at Reliant Stadium.
Players are aware of the long stretch without a playoff win, although offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth noted on Tuesday that many of the current Bengals had just been born when the drought began.
Offensive tackle Andre Smith notes the game in Houston represents the chance for the Bengals to finally get rid of their playoff stigma.
