INDIANAPOLIS - As more Super Bowl visitors flock to the Circle City, hungry fans are seeking out Indianapolis originals downtown.
St. Elmo Steak House is famous for its A-list clientele and powerful shrimp cocktail sauce.
Already this week, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Giants quarterback Eli Manning, the Mara family, who own the Giants, and Robert Kraft, who owns the Patriots, have dined at the Indianapolis establishment.
The restaurant is expecting such a volume of visitors it put up a tent outside to offer its signature dishes.
"It's triple the typical sales, so it's overwhelming to handle all of this demand," said Craig Huse, St. Elmo co-owner. "We have a finite amount of seats and virtually unlimited demand right now."
Across the street, the downtown Steak 'n Shake, another Indianapolis landmark, is getting busier by the day.
"(It's fun) just meeting all of the new people, and the Giants fans and Patriots fans, and fans from everywhere, really," said manager Dave Lackey.
Steak 'n Shake recently opened restaurants in the New York area.
Both Indianapolis staples said they're taking precautions to make sure they don't run out of food and drink.
