Senior guard Chase Stanley rolled up 17 points as Boone County edged Beechwood, 61-59 on Thursday.

Beechwood senior forward Corey Cruse, who led all scorers with 26 points, hit a free throw to pull the Tigers within two in the closing seconds, but they never had a chance to erase the lead.

Senior forward Keenan Palmer added 15 points for the Rebels, who won their third straight and improved to 6-1 in their last seven.

DIXIE HEIGHTS 74, LUDLOW 40 – The Colonels connected on 7-of-12 3-pointers in the first quarter to open up an 18-point lead.

Dixie Heights sophomore guard Brandon Hatton finished with 19 points, including 11 in the third quarter. Senior forward Parker Stansberry scored 13 of his 16 points in the first half, and he grabbed seven rebounds in the first two quarters.

Sophomore forward Mitchell Cody led the Panthers with 13 points.
