McQueary scores 28 in Rebels win

Boone County senior forward Zane McQueary hit 13-of-16 shots from the field, leading all scorers with 28 points as the Rebels beat Highlands, 63-39 on Saturday.

McQueary scored 18 of those points in the first half. Senior guard Chase Stanley poured in 15 points for Boone County.

The Rebels, who shot 57 percent from the field, reached the 20-win mark for the fourth time in five seasons.

Junior forward Nick Seibert poured in seven in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.

Senior guard Cody Cook added 14 points for Cooper, which snapped a three-game losing streak.

Senior forward Tyler Bray finished with 14 points, and senior forward K.T. Williams scored eight points in the second quarter to blow the game open for Lloyd.

Junior forward Justin Shelton added 17 points – nine in the fourth quarter – as Owen County won its seventh game in its last eight.
