Senior guard Megan Rauch hit a 3-pointer in overtime to put Campbell County ahead for good in a 49-45 win over Clark County on Saturday.
The Cardinals hit a basket to start the extra session, but Camels senior forward Jenna Martin answered with a 3-point play. After another Clark County bucket, Rauch’s trey gave Campbell County a two-point lead.
Rauch hit a pair of free throws later in OT to ice the game.
Camels junior center Kaytlin Siegmundt forced overtime but hitting a pair of free throws with 20 seconds left in regulation, tying the score, 41-41. Campbell County led by 10 entering the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals had battled back to take a two-point lead in the closing minutes.
Siegmundt finished with a team-best 16 points and Rauch added 15 as the Camels improved to 6-1 in their last seven games.

SIMON KENTON 53, NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 45 – Pioneers sophomore guard Abby Owings sank four free throws in the last two minutes to seal the game.
NewCath pulled within three with 1:52 remaining, but Simon Kenton hit 7 of 8 foul shots to ice it.
Owings recorded a team-high 15 points, and senior guard Hannah Stephenson added 14 for the Pioneers.
Sophomore forward Nicole Kiernan scored 14 of the Thoroughbreds’ first 18 points and led all scorers with 22 points.

Senior forward Jessica Knaley posted a game-high 22 points, and senior guard Jill Bauer chipped in 11 points, eight assists and seven steals for St. Henry.
