Playing like a team of destiny the Cooper Jaguars opened up district play on a mission as they knocked off the Scott Eagles, 46-14.
Cooper (6-0, 1-0) got a big night from senior quarterback Tyler Morris. The senior completed 7 of his 14 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another two scores and 21 yards while also returning a kickoff return 95 yards for a TD.
Ben Osborne was flustered by a swarming Jaguars’ defense all night long as the junior signal caller finished with 131 yards and a touchdown to lead Scott (3-3, 0-1) in the loss.
Next up, Cooper heads to Conner in one of the season’s most-highly anticipated Northern Kentucky matchups. Scott gets a bye before playing host to Grant County on Oct. 5.
