HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The recently announced Northern Kentucky indoor football team officially has a team name and general manager.
The team will be called the Northern Kentucky River Monsters announced the Ultimate Indoor Football League on Thursday, Sept. 2.
The team also announced that former University of Kentucky quarterback and Highlands High School alum, Jared Lorenzen will take on the role of general manager.
The team will have seven home games in 2011 and will play at The Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of Northern Kentucky University. Football capacity for the arena will be about 6,000 fans.
UIFL will kick off its inaugural season in March 2011 with six teams.
