Northern Kentucky announces arena football team

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Details about the new Northern Kentucky arena football team will be announced this week at an event hosted by the Ultimate Indoor Football League.
The event will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2 at The Bank of Kentucky Center on the campus of Northern Kentucky University.
The team plans to announce the team name, front office staff, season ticket information and reveal the team logo at the event.
The UIFL will begin play Feb. 18, 2011 and will host a combine and league draft on Saturday, Oct. 30 in Canton, Ohio. The league will field six teams with the sixth to be announced in September.
