LEXINGTON, Ky. – An audience of more than 30,000 celebrated the Opening Ceremonies of the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen Germany.

More than 500,000 tickets were sold to the 2006 Games.

In 2010, more than 600,000 tickets are expected to be sold for events at the Kentucky Horse Park over the 16 days of the Games.

Number of athletes: 900 equine athletes, 800 human athletes
