The Famous Neons Unplugged, one of the most canine-friendly joints in the city, probably has heard all the best (and worst) “So a guy walks into a bar with a dog” jokes. Now it’s helping adoptable dogs find their own drinking buddies. Recycled Doggies and Adore-A-Bull Rescue will be in the beer garden from noon-5 p.m.
Come with a two-legged friend and leave with a four-legged one after enjoying brunch with Salty Dog and Greyhound cocktails. Or select one of the dog-branded beers on tap and raise a glass to Cincinnati lifting its ban on pit bulls. A portion of all beer sales will benefit the rescues. PhoDOGrapher Carolyn Evans will be there to document random scenes of mugs, pugs and puppy love, plus she’ll take posed shots for a fee.
INFO: Sunday, June 24. Neons, 208 E. 12th St., Over-the-Rhine. 513-827-9361, phodographer.com .
