CINCINNATI - By Iain McDavid for CityBeat
Now's the time to bust out your old skates or rollerblades to help raise money for a good cause.
The annual OTR Skate event returns to Over-the-Rhine this Friday. The lively roller skating party event highlights local musicians while benefiting the OTR Rec Center and aiding the revitalization of the community as a whole. The event began in 2011, drawing massive crowds and raising funds for scholarships and community youth programs.
This time, the event will feature music by Cincy-bred artists The Yugos and Indigo Wild, jammin’ center rink while you all skate around. Free pizza and hip raffle prizes from Moerlein Lager House, Tom + Chee and much more will be provided, including free foosball, air hockey and bumper pool.
INFO: $5 including rentals. 8 p.m. OTR Rec Center, 1712 Race St., Over-the-Rhine.
