CINCINNATI - The Tri-State is getting some overdue recognition after it was left off the credits of “The Ides of March” in theaters.

Much of the political thriller, which stars George Clooney and Ryan Gosling, was filmed in the Tri-State, yet in theaters the closing credits said the movie was "filmed on location in Michigan.”

While parts of the movie were filmed in Michigan, many of the scenes took place at familiar southwest Ohio sites including Miami University, Xavier University, Fountain Square and the Roebling Suspension Bridge.

The film credits have been corrected in the DVD and Blu-Ray versions, which will be released Jan. 17. The revised credits say the movie was filmed in Michigan and Ohio and gives “special thanks” to Miami and Xavier universities, the city of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Police Department, the Ohio Film Office and others.
