MASON, Ohio - Kings Island has teamed up with the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum to open a new restaurant

The Reds Hall of Fame Grille is a full-service Reds-themed restaurant that will debut April 27 when Kings Island opens for the 2013 season. It is located in the Rivertown area near the Diamondback roller coaster.

“We are excited to partner with the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum,” Kings Island vice president and general manager Greg Scheid said in a press release. “The Reds Hall of Fame Grille will be a paradise for baseball fans and will allow guests the opportunity to sample the rich history of the Reds during their visit to the park.  Guests will be also able to enjoy dining on a new patio overlooking a spectacular view of Diamondback.”

Restaurant patrons can watch Reds games on TV while dining on traditional pub fare including burgers, chicken wings, Montgomery Inn pulled pork, baby back ribs, Saratoga chips, wraps, appetizers, salads and homemade desserts. It will also serve draft beer and wine.

Visitors can also order, purchase and print tickets to games at Great American Ball Park at a kiosk inside the venue.

The décor of the restaurant showcases the rich history of the Reds and includes authentic memorabilia including plaques for each of the 75 players, three managers and three executives who’ve been inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame, the oldest continually operated team hall of fame in baseball.

Framed jerseys, video highlights, photos and other pieces of Cincinnati baseball history dating back to when the Reds became the first professional baseball team in the 1800s are featured throughout the restaurant.

The press release indicates that gold and platinum season pass-holders at Kings Island and Reds Hall of Fame members will receive special benefits as a result of the partnership.

Kings Island is owned and operated by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, a publicly traded partnership that also owns and operates ten other amusement parks, four water parks, one indoor water park, and five hotels. Cedar Fair also operates the Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park in Gilroy, Calif. under a management contract.
