CINCINNATI - Procter & Gamble Co. shares hit an all-time high of $75.31 during afternoon trading Tuesday, as investors continue to react to the company’s better-than-expected earnings results last week.
“The numbers were good. I think the stock’s getting a little pricey here, but everybody seems to like the numbers,” said Victor Lassandro, senior portfolio manager for RiverPoint Capital Management downtown.
Lassandro said P&G’s previous all-time high was $75.18 in December 2007.
P&G closed at $75 after a day of trading in which shares changed hands at roughly double the stock's average volume.
The stock price rose nearly 2 percent in Tuesday trading. It's up more than 6 percent since Friday’s earnings release.
