CINCINNATI - Police arrested the final suspect wanted in connection with an August homicide in Springfield Township early Thursday morning.
Cincinnati police received a tip that a wanted homicide suspect, 18-year-old Brandon Gowdy , may be in the Northside area around 12:50 a.m. Officers pulled over a car matching the description looking for Gowdy.
Police say the car initially stopped for officers at the intersection of Spring Grove Avenue and Crawford Avenue, but then fled from officers. Police deployed stop sticks at the intersection of Hamilton and Crawford, hoping to end the pursuit. The car drove three more blocks with two flat tires before finally stopping.
Arresting officers tell 9 News that Gowdy was inside the vehicle. He's charged in the August 2011 murder of Darryl Calhoun, II.
Calhoun was killed Aug. 8 inside his home on Lotushill Drive in Springfield Township. Investigators at the time said three men entered Calhoun's home and shot him seven or eight times before leaving. Gowdy was the last of three suspects arrested in connection with the murder.
