The Lebanon and Hamilton Posts of the Ohio State Highway Patrol have selected their 2012 Troopers of the Year.
The Lebanon post selected Trooper James Sparkman, 30, based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, and cooperation with supervisors, peers and the public.
Sparkman, a Mason resident, joined the Highway Patrol in 2004 and has served at the Lebanon post since 2010.
The Hamilton post has selected Trooper Cristian Perrin, 27, of Lebanon
Since joining the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2009, Perrin has earned the Physical Ftness with Star, Field Training and Criminal Patrol ribbons.
