CINCINNATI - If you just haven't had the time to make an appointment or you're without insurance, you can come to the 9 News studio on Tuesday to get your annual mammogram.

9 Against Breast Cancer is partnering with St. Elizabeth to provide the service. The mobile mammography vans will be parked in front of our station at 1720 Gilbert Avenue from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9.  There will be one van for walk-ups and one for scheduled appointments.

The American Cancer Society recommends women get a yearly mammogram starting at age 40. This practice can improve the chances that the disease can be diagnosed at an early stage and treated successfully.

St. Elizabeth will provide the no-cost mammograms.

The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation will pay for the service for those without insurance.

This is part of our 9 Against Breast Cancer effort which helps remind women to conduct a self-breast exam on the 9th day of every month.

If you would like to set up your appointment now, call (859) 655-7400.
