Back to school shopping can be fun for parents and kids looking for new school supplies. But when you're shopping for school supplies you can help out other Tri-State families that can't afford to buy the necessities for their children.
Here's how you can help:
- Kroger Push For Pencils School Supply Drive: Needed items include crayons, markers, erasers, pens and pencils, rulers, glue and even hand sanitizer. Until Aug. 12, customers will find bins in the front of Cincinnati area stores where they can place new school supply items which will be donated to the Crayons to Computers store in Cincinnati.
- Dollar Tree Stores Participating In Operation Homefront: The supplies that are purchased here will help out our country’s youngest heroes. You can purchase a supply needed for school at the checkout line and it will be sent to military families.
- Newport Fashion Bug, 1735 Monmouth Street: Collecting school supplies
- United Methodist Church in Northern Kentucky: Drop off your new school supplies at any United Methodist church in Northern Kentucky by July 30. Some of the churches accepting donations include Immanuel United Methodist Church in Lakeside Park and Florence United Methodist. For more information on how you can donate click
