CINCINNATI - An employee with the Hamilton County Board of Elections was fired Thursday after he objected to punishments he received for visiting an Internet dating website while at work.
Officials with the Board of Elections told 9 On Your Side that Ken Spruce allegedly visited the website Match.com several times while at work, which goes against the board’s Internet policy.
Discipline against Spruce included one day of unpaid leave and having the Internet connection to his office computer removed. Spruce was fired after he allegedly failed to answer questions and interrupted others during an appeals hearing.
Spruce was not available for comment Thursday evening.
