Some Bengals have tricky return from storm

CINCINNATI - Some of the Bengals sweated out flights from the East Coast and made long drives through heavy rain to get back to Cincinnati from their bye weekend, leaving their homes just as a storm hit.

Coach Marvin Lewis said all of his players made it back on Monday, though some were a little late because of travel problems caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Long snapper Clark Harris had to drive more than 12 hours from Philadelphia after his flight was cancelled on Sunday, arriving in town in the early morning hours.

The Bengals (3-4) lost a little more ground in the AFC North race over the weekend. Pittsburgh's victory moved the second-place Steelers to 4-3. The Ravens lead at 5-2. Cincinnati plays Denver (4-3) on Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.
